Your PADI Enriched Air Diver Course is one of the most popular training courses after your Open Water and Advanced Open Water. Why? Because scuba diving with Enriched Air Nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer, getting back into the water sooner, or feeling less tired after repetitive dives sounds appealing then you shouldn't hesitate to enrol and become an enriched air diver.

This course is designed to teach you the procedures for safe, recreational, no decompression diving using nitrox. You'll learn why diving with air that has a higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Scuba Dive Shop Enriched Air Diver course consists of Three Stage options:

1. eLearning Independent Study

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours

The eLearning Independent Study option covers the cost of self-study materials and online verification that you have completed the theory requirements.

PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the independent study part of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor for in-water training, or whenever you have a question.

2. Practical Session at The Dive Shop

Time Commitment: 2-3 Hours

What you will Learn

Discuss managing oxygen exposure
Practice analysing and record the oxygen content in your cylinder
Set your dive computer for diving with Enriched Air Nitrox
Plan an Enriched Air Dive

3. In-Water Dive/s (run alongside Advanced Open Water Course dives)

Time Commitment: 2-4 Hours

What you will Learn

This option of the Enriched Air Diving Course includes a Shore Dive on Nitrox. The advantages diving Nitrox gives to increase your no stop dive time, so you have longer dives and/or shorter surface intervals, all else being equal and gas supply willing. Many divers also claim to feel less tired after a dive on nitrox than after a similar dive on air. By reducing a diver's nitrogen absorption, nitrox may also reduce a diver's post-dive exhaustion.
