Wreck Diver:
Wreck diving is a fascinating visit into the past, whether a vessel was purposely sunk creating an artificial reef or lost at sea by accident. The waters of Port Phillip Bay have claimed about 130 vessels, and they are often teeming with aquatic life.
The PADI Wreck Diver Course with The Scuba Doctor, will give you the knowledge and skills to safely and responsibly explore different types of wreck by investigating their layout, history and hazards, and practice specialized wreck diving skills.
If you're at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI Advanced Diver certification or higher, you can enrol in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
The course at a glance:
PADI E-Learning – Independent Study
Complete the independent study part of your course at your own pace, prior to the course. Learn about different types of wrecks and common wreck diving hazards.
Connect with your instructor for in water training, or whenever you have a question.
E-Learning time commitment: 2-4 hours
With your instructor:
During four dives with your instructor, you’ll survey and map a wreck, practice special finning techniques and may use penetration lines.
- Total time commitment: 2 days (dives must be completed over a minimum of two days)
Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Diver (or qualifying certification)
Minimum age: 15 years or older
